Would it be possible to buy a new fuse block and attach it to vehicle. Then while the old fuse box remains, slowlwy over a period of a few months (on weekends) rewire each circuit to new fuse box with new wiring. Has anyone done this? Is it feasable? All comments welcome.

I just finished re-wiring my '63 and I can't imagine trying to do it the way you are talking about. This of course assumes my limited abilities, but one of the first things I did was rip out all of my old wiring to keep from getting confused. I suppose that it is possible...better you than me! If it were me I'd try to find alternate transportation while the re-wire was in progress. | | |

My own experience with re-wiring (mainly on Harleys I admit) has taught me that it needs to be done in as orderly a fashion as humanly possible, othwerwise things get forgotten, lost or broken.
Plus you risk damaging the new stuff by running it with the old.

I believe it's in the Classic Trucks magazine if I remember correctly.
I've rewired my '62 (from scratch) over 1 weekend, the first day was the cab, second day was under the hood, headlights, and taillights.
I did this with the help of the shop manuals (supplements 1&2)
