I walked out and the motor was off. My neighbor said he heard a back-fire and the engine stopped. I looked at the spark wires all ok. the battery and starter all good,(the key was on) and I looked at the distr. no moisture in the housing
Rotor looks good but,I could not check for spark.
P.S. there is fuel,and the carb.is good. What am I forgetting?

1) fuel
2) compression
3) spark
4) the first three must be timed properly
Usually a backfire means something is out of time (firing with a valve open) or too richly fueled. | | |

Will return If I can't get her going in the AM.
