I have a 1942 Chevrolet Pickup that I am going to install an EZ wiring harness in it.

There are 4 wires in the harness....Ign Power, Ign Start, Ign Coil and Ign Accessory....

The pickup has the original foot starter that has been converted to 12 volt.

How do I hook up the wires to the ignition switch and starter...

Ign Power to ignition switch
Ign Coil to ignition switch...other end to coil
Ign Accessory to ignition switch...

What do I do with the Ign Start wire..since this is not a key start...and how does the ign power on the ignition switch get its current?

If you have an ignition switch that turns to start possition you would hook the start wire to it. Just coil the wire up & tuck it behind the dash. You could cut it off or remove it from the harness but some day you may change to a diff. system. If you are going to 12 volts you will need a resistor between the switch & coil.

That is what I thought... on the ignition power wire that connects to the ignition switch is there any connection on the engine side that needs to be made. . I assume it gets the power from the fuse box and all the connections there.

Well I completed the rewiring of my 1942 1/2 ton Pickup. I used the EZ wiring harness and had to make adjustments for the foot starter and ignition switch. After I got everthing working right, I then tackled the job of installing a Signal Stat 900 turn signal kit. That was easier that I thought it was going to be. The LCD tailamps are really nice and can be seen from a distance... I did alot of research on sites like this before tackling the rewiring job but it all paid off.
