I wanna powerwash the interior, but want to wait until spring and warm weather. Obviously, I won't rewire until after that. Here's my question - once I mount the engine, is there a half [censored] wiring job I can do to get the motor started? Don't care about the proper connectors or anything, just - can it be done? Thanks in advance,

Make sure your AD is in neutral,the rear wheels are off the ground or you can out run your truck when it takes off without you.With a screw driver or metal rod jump the solinoid(if you have one)to engage the starter or stomp on the foot starter.I would hook up some gauges to keep an eye on oil pressure and water temp.

The alternator went out in the 292 in my 59 and I have been charging the truck on the battery charger to keep it going for errands until I can monkey with it. There is very little draw on the battery after the starter has done its business. | | |
