For helping keep this great

on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2013 Posts: 9 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Mar 2013 Posts: 9 | I posted a while back in the intro thread about buying a Chevy 1.5 ton. Here she is. The engine is not stuck and the windshield and side panels were removed for transport. Most of the original WW2 markings are still visible. Not a very common truck so it will be nice for parades and supporting veterans events. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 253 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 253 | Nice find, saw your picture of this truck over on the "G". You'll need to find a diffused bomb or two to go with it! I found plenty of help here getting my G 7163 back on the road, look forward to watching your restoration on this truck.

Nice find! I too saw your truck over on G503 forums (when they're working...). The stamping on your engine block is correct for a WW2 military block. That's quite unusual, as most (including mine) have been replaced. Always nice to bump into another G506 owner!

Yeah, the G has been having big issues lately. I'm glad the block is correct. It turns free so I'm hoping to clean it up and get it to run without an expensive rebuild, which is not in the cards for a while.
