I am getting closer to having my 46 1.5 ton all done. But I need to get my grill re chromed or a new chrome one. What are your ideas re-chrome or new?

Before you scare yourself at the price, keep in mind, the grille must be disassembled, chromed and polished, then put back together.

'37 GMC T-18 w/ DD 4-53T, RTO-610, 6231 aux., '95 GMC running gear, full disc brakes, power steering, 22.5 wheels and tires.
'47 GMC 1 ton w/ 302, NP-540, 4wd, full width Blazer front axle.
'54 GMC 630 w/ 503 gasser, 5 speed, ex fire truck, shortened WB 4', install 8' bed.
'55 GMC 370 w/270, 420 4 speed, grain, dump bed truck from ND. Works OK.

For anyone in the south or Texas...check out Speed Sport Chrome. Fantastic work, Jay Leno ships most of his work there. Not the cheapest but you definitely get what you pay for. They just did my '46...disassembled it, did a little welding and it looks fantastic. I opted for "less than 10 show quality" but for a grill that was formerly only painted, they did a terrific job. Easily a 9.8 in anybodies book.
