on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 64 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 64 | Wanted to ask and see if anyone has used an EZ Wiring fuse block kit? They have the 12 and 21 circuit kits. If anyone has used them, how simple are they to install? Thinking of re-wiring my 53 Panlel and was looking for opinions on these kind of kits
Thanks Manley | | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 177 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 177 | i have used the complete wireing kit in several cars and trucks . it is easy to install the wires are marked every 6"as to where they go. and the instructions are very easy to understand. for the price difference i always buy the 21 circuit. then you can up date later if you want to | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 | I installed the 21 circuit also. When I first saw all the wires, it was like OMG what have I got into now. But, as stated it was an easy install. I did not follow EZ Wiring advice on clipping short at the fuse box wiring I wouldn't use or use later. I removed them just to keep wiring under the dash neater. Other than that I followed their instructions. I would recommend having a good set of wire nipper/crimpers and strippers.

If you use the mini fuse panel just be sure to buy you an extra fuse or two "just in case". Not everyone carries the little mini fuses on the shelf..at least not yet. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2008 Posts: 290 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2008 Posts: 290 | I too have used the 12 circuit mini fuse in my 1948 1-ton. Made life so easy for rewiring the whole truck.... I'm going to use another one on my next project. I would recommend them for anyone doing a wiring job.

Although i've since found out I could have left it 'as is' on a vehicle this old..... Like the guys mention and I'm sure you already know, they're marked every 6". Just pay attention to getting good grounds (most electrical fault can be traced to bad earthing)

Can you post a link to the EZ wiring fuse block kit that you are referencing? I'm about to restore a 47 one-ton and your idea sounds attractive.
Thanks,
