I have decided to keep the truck 6-volt and do not need the 12-volt wires.
IF anyone is interested in trading, or can simply point me to a vendor who would sell a 6-volt harness, I would appreciate a note.

#94295 01/17/2006 9:01 PM | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | the difference would be any 'extra' circuits in it, like for alternator and accessories - what you want is an original style harness - no extra circuits and designed for a 6V system [which uses some wires heavier gauge than 12V], and a generator - just need to get that from any supplier, and list your '12V' harness in the swap section, saying what extra circuits it has

6v uses heavier gauged wires (ie, where you use 18awg on 12v, you'd use 16awg on 6v). Either gauge of harness may have hookups for various other things like blinkers, horn relays and whatnot. | | |
