I was pleased to see a beautiful cross hatch on the walls and fresh pistons marked .30+ along with shiney valves and a clean head so the P/O was at least correct about that. The miss was just incorrectly adjusted valves and it purrs like a kitten now and huge difference in power. So what would my displacement be if its been bored 30 over. bore x bore x .7854 x stroke x number of cylinders .
figure area of cylinder ( bore x bore x .7854 ), then cylinder volume in cubic inches (area x stroke), this multiplyed by number of cylinders gives the engine displacement.
there is an alternate formula to calculate area of cylinder (circle).

I can find specs on about every engine out there but not a 235 What specs do you need? A Shop Manual and a calculator? Use the standard dimensions first. Make sure it gives 235.5 (approximately). Add your overbore to the bore. My guess is that you mean 0.030" over bore? 239.4 cubic inches? Double-check me - I also shift decimal points and miss digits. | | |
