This has gotta be an easy one....How do I keep my battery lid from coming out of place from the wind when I drive?

Get a girlfriend to ride over there with her foot on it. grin

You can try bending the rods and the lips where it is supposed to hook into but I have only had very limited success with that.

If it's you 1948, 3600 here is a cover from mine that
I had to make new locking rods for.
Battery Box cover, 1950, 3600:

Mine were missing so I borrowed a cover and bent my own copies, that's what you see in the picture.

Other wise you will need to find a cover from a junker from someone.

I would try to find a good used one, but a reproduction cover with rods is available.

I got a lid, just no Rods. I bought 3/16" steel rod today. A little heat, a little bending, I'll fix 'er right up!
