Sounds like you need to do some custom fabricating!

Did you check Classic Industries or Chev's of the 40's? I know there are kits out there.

I found an article from Custom Classic Trucks in 2009 when they installed a forward tilt hood kit for these trucks from No Limit Engineering. They don't seem to list it on their site, but it's probably worth giving them a call.

No limit and also another company stopped making the forward tilt hood kits due to not enough demand. Seen it in a direct quote from rob at no limits in another forum.

Yeah, but those companies should still have the specs.

Hope so. In sure would like to have one. But if no one makes them anymore i guess i would have to make my own. I guess I could email the no limit guys and see if they could help me out.

I would give a arm and leg for one that fits my 62.
I have a nice flame job on the hood and no-one sees it when the hood is up.

Your other option is to modify one of the universal kits like companies like Autoloc sells.

I think the idea of the hood opening like the earlier models, half of the hood opens left, half right. I've never seen this on this vintage, but the hood already has the two halves.

Here is a link that may be of some help.

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=218253

The older Buick Lesabre had hoods that flipped forward and the hinges, guides and all can be used.
