I tried to search the forums but didn't find anything specifically to this issue. Is the headlight ring on an AD truck held on with a screw at the bottom or does it just pop on and is spring held? If anyone knows or can provide a link, instal;/removal instructions, I would appreciate it. Thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 4,263 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 4,263 | The bucket should have a tab to accept a screw that hold the trim ring You can see the tab in this pic ...pic... About the 1:00 o'clock position in that pic. Installed it will be at the bottom Often times the tab is broken/ missing | | | | Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 374 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 374 | Thanks Dads50. I was under the impression no screw was used on the trim ring but I guess I was wrong. | | | | Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 4,263 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 4,263 | ...click... One of my headlamp rings is missing the tab for the screw, haven't lost it yet. But I do have a replacement bucket to change it out. | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall | Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 | You can purchase those tabs that the headlight rim is screwd to....I think. I'm almost sure I have a new I bought somewhere out in the shop. Big Tee, there are some springs on the back of the headlight rim and the one at the top of the headlight rim fits down into a slot on the top of the headlight bucket........ I'm sure you know this but just in case you didn't. Good luck.
Here you go. Bottom of the page. $4.50 each
