I did one a few years ago in a 1966 C-10, and it only took about a half hour | | | | Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 435 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 435 | What Doug said. You should be able to get it done without having to go under the truck and stand flatfooted on the shop floor. Hardest part is getting the little bitty screws lined back up to hold the blower motor back n place. Try marking their locations with a marking pen for reference. | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 2,877 Socket Breaker | Socket Breaker Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 2,877 | dunno if you have the same setup or not... I removed and installed the heater in my '54 three times before I figured out that it was leaking because my heater hoses were off-size. Water leaked where they joined the pipes to the core and ran down the pipes into the heater case, then onto the floor. The ID was larger than 5/8". I could easily tell when I poked my finger into one of the hoses, then did the same to a new hose. Dunno if the hose wallowed out over time or if it was always too large.
