Also, all of the three speeds you normally use are synchronized.

Should be a different floor panel and early sm420s are the only ones with the torque tube adapter for the enclosed drivelines. I think from 1948-1954? Anything later will have an open driveline and you'll need to find another back piece for the transmission.

I will say that granny gear is more for fun really than for much practical use. I use it for crawling into the garage, and when I am at Stovebolt HQ (like Homecoming, please see the thread in the ODSS section, PLEASE COME!!!) rolling around on the farm.
Keep in mind that first gear is not syncronized so you have to be at a stop to get in gear.
