Lookin' at picking up a new gas, cold water, pressure washer for the shop. My limited research shows that the Honda gx engine is probably good with a Cat pump if possible. That combination is pricey. I'd like to spend no more than $500 on it tops. You fellas have any particular brands or models that you have found to be good and last. For medium duty use, cleaning concrete drive & shop floors, 4 wheelers, an engine now and again.

Hank

I have a $2000 machine at my shop, but I have one of these at my house for occasional use and I like it.

Be careful calling yourself a expert, because an "EX" is a hasbeen and a"SPERT" is a drip under pressure.

i have picked up 2 Landa Hot/cold water machines for $200 and $300 respectfully. Had my friend go over them and they both work great for under $500. Let a friend have one for $700 and he loves it.
Don is working on an Alkota for me now. There is an Alkota dealer in Cherryville NC.
Hotsys can be found in SC too. I have only bought electric machines,so far.

Having bought six HP washers in my lifetime I can say with pretty much certainty that if you find a Honda/Cat combination for $500 it will be too hot to hold. The pumps alone cost that much.

Home depot.....$599.00..looks to be the ticket. It's a Dewalt with the Honda GX and the later ones have the Cat.

I just searched the Home Depot site and found 5 units listed at
$599 but none had a CAT pump. They do sell models with a CAT pump but not at this price per ther site. All of the units I had were commerical and all were about $2000 and were worth it.

Money Pit,
You gotta go to a brick n motar store and check thedisplay model. Thats how i found one...got a few scratches and scuffs but i don't care about that. Check the pump before you buy...newer shelf units have an offshore made pump by AAA; if i am recalling the name correctly. Had to go to two stoted to find one. Maybe hard to find but worth the effort if you have time.

I have since been offered a dealership by a large manufacturer of washers, compressors, etc. But Thanks for the comment of a real store v an online offering which is probably mpore current but doesn't tell you what is actually out there.
