My situation is this, I have 4 wheel disk brakes on my 51 1/2 ton Chevy 3100. I purchased the disc/disc power brake master cylinder set up. Thought this would be pretty straight forward, i am mounting it under the cab in the normal position.1st question is there a specific size of brake line ?? I went to parts store and found out there are about 3 sizes?? Is there a certain size or does it matter?? i bought 3/16th's! Also proportioning valves? If you bought a kit the proportioning valve should be on the master cylinder. It looks like this on the Performance on Line kit. Cletis that is exactly what mine looks like. Yes the exiting line is 1/4 inch but it will be reduced to the 3/16's. I googled and read a few things last night.i found out about all the different fittings, pipe,ansi, etc... My disc brakes were not a conversion i have a ford 8.8 rear end.My headache was slightly less than yours. I did have to "make" the assembly fit. I cut some of the stock assembly bracket away to do this worked out fine, about 7 hrs. worth of fitting and grinding??
