Hi,Pistonfarmer! Both vid's short,but SWEET! Thanks for sharing! Is that a spare-tire mount,behind the cab,in the "Dump bed lifting" video? did that come with the truck? If not where did you find it? Nice addition!

Yes they are short clips. That is the spare tire and it was on the truck. The bed has a tag that says the perfection steel body co. Its a neat spare holder as the one side lays over so you can roll the tire on and off of it. I will have to post some more pictures of the whole truck.

That does look like it might be a hard to find GM accessory big truck spare tire carrier. Been looking for one of those for years.

Yep, that's a GM accessory Big Truck spare tire carrier. you don't see those often. Keep your eyes peeled, for me one.

Would that be The Perfection Steel Body Co of Galion, Ohio? If so, they also made the grain bed on my '46 2-ton. Cooler yet is i live just 15 miles from Galion!

I will have to look. I just got the gas tank and new lines running to the carb, its running a lot better now that clean fuel is actually being pumped to the carb

Hey, your truck looks to be in good shape. From the video I didn't see any rust in the cab corners, etc. I see your kids like the truck too considering the toys in the back, LOL....
