I want the 3.73 gears instead of the current 5.10 for obvious reasons. I already have the front end done with the 5x4.75 bolt pattern and would need to match it with the rear
I know the camaro/firbird from the 70's fits like a glove, but am having trouble findin one with the3.73 gears.
Any suggestions on other alternatives? or what to do in general? | | | | | Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 1,775 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 1,775 | Try an S10 or Blazer. You'll mostly find 3.42 and 4.11 gearsets, but 3.73's are out there. If you can't find a 3.73, new ring and pinions sets can be had for about $150. Just some food for thought. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall | | Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 | ...to the list of camaro/firebird you can add malibu, monte carlo and even some oldsmobiles. that will help widen your chances of finding one.

Closest you'll find would be to swap out the 3rd member for the '68-'72 3/4 ton with the 4.10 option, which are getting very hard to find due to the demand. You would also not be able to match the wheel bolt pattern with the stock 3/4 ton rear.
