I have a similar problem with the horn on my 52. I would like to keep the original horn if possible. Did you ever find someone to rebuild yours? If you bought an original replacement, where did you find one?
My dad always told me, "Don't force it, get a bigger hammer".

Sometimes that will fix it. If it,s 12 volts you can hide a new horn way down low & leave the old one on.

I removed the cover, the dome which pops off, cleaned up the points and adjusted them. The working adjustment range is very small and critical. My horns work really well now. | | |
