Hi, my name is Dave and here's my
1950 GMC 250 Flatbed 1950 GMC 250 Flatbed I found in Redding California. I picked it up in early January and it wasn't running. My neighbor and I towed it to my place where I prepared to start trying to get it running. I've done some work to start cleaning it up such as gutting the interior, removing the
fuel tank fuel tank and such. I just found out the fuel tank is not worth saving so I ordered a new one from Jim Carter's.
The engine does turn over, and some of the lights actually work. I'm not going to try to start yet before I get some things sorted out first, like the fuel system. I rebuilt the carb yesterday, just need to clean out the lines next.
I also found that the brake system was in working order, it just needed fluid. I'll be keeping my eye on all the
cylinders cylinders just because it's been sitting so long though.
