Are they? My truck has them on the front fenders. I don't really want to keep them unless I have to, but I didn't know if I was grandfathered in with the old truck.

It's not a bad idea to have them. For safety's sake, you really shouldn't remove them.
Are you talking about the 1950 truck in your signature line? If so, one option would be to replace the bulb sockets in your parking lights with dual element ones and put the turn signals there.

A 1950 model is not required to have turn signals, but you must roll the window and point to the left for a left turn and point up for a right turn. However, very few people will know what you are doing. Turn signals are only required on 1960 or newer models that are less than 80" wide.

they'll just think he's a blond drying his nail polish grin

as Rich says, if you don't like the fender mounted lights, change out the park and tail sockets for dual filament, not having signal lights is just plain inconsiderate

Thanks guys I like the idea of the grill lights being used for signals. But what about the rear?

If you are using a 12V system you could use something like this. I just purchased these and will be putting them onto my truck.

I am useing a trailer light conversion on the tail lights so that i can make them blink for turn signals. cost me $20 i think.

Just ideas
