...just be sure you have a fire extinguisher close by.

I know this project has been costly to say the least,Bruce, but to me, and I think all of us, your project is PRICELESS. I'm sure GM will be contacting you!!!! Don't let'em have it smile

Bruce,
Do you have any pics of the Driver Side rear fender while OFF the Truck ?
I believe I have an N.O.S. '36 Carry All Rear fender & would like to Match it up.
Send pics to [email protected] & I will send back pics if indeed mine is the same.
Thanks !!! Rick

I can't wait to see the Suburban and I really enjoyed the G&D article. Will the roof be wood covered in material? If so, will there be chicken wire in it?

Hi...well, you may get to see it..but won't hear it humming down the road..we have reached a very big setback in the engine rebuild...water getting in there, after all this work and everythin g correctly set up..went to start and warm it up to right rpm's and thought I'd check oil level...then saw a bad sign. Milky oil on the dipstick..oh boy...I have called the rebuild guy..he won't return any calls. May have to go to court on this one. Drained out ten qts of creamy oil...oh Joy...Bruce

I saw Bruce's truck at the lost in the fifties last year and it looked great. I haven't seen it driving around since then, but then we have ice and snow everywhere and I wouldn't drive it either.

I spoke with Bruce sometime ago and have stayed in touch with him. He sold the Carry-All.
The story is that a guy tried to buy the one in the GM Heritage Museum (I think that is what its called) but a GM guy go it.
So, when he saw Bruce's he bought it.... I think sight unseen.

Bruce is enjoying painting and some other hobbies he has. He also had a couple other vehicles for sale. I think he was "thinning down the herd".

Maybe he'll check in soon.

I actually have his Carry-All as my screen saver. Man I'd love to have one like that. After a 2 year resto and MANY thousand dollars, he did get top dollar but I won't go into that as its his business....
