Hi Hotshoe, I think a c 60 might be a 2 1/2 ton. If you think about it, a C30 is a 1 ton there was a C40 which should be a 1 1/2 ton, & I think there was even a C50, which would make that a 2 ton.
Im not 100% positive , but i think this is right.
Someone will chime in if im wrong.

I have never heard a C60 called anything but a 2 ton. The whole tonnage rating is archaic and was already meaningless by the time C40, C50 and C60 trucks were built. I have heard C40 called a 1 1/2 ton light duty and a C50 called a heavy duty 1 1/2 ton, but again the tonnage rating has nothing to do with the actual load capacity.

Thanks for the replies.
I made a deal with a guy for his lockout hubs on a napco axle. I happen to need them for my 1 1/2 ton and my 2 ton.Part of the deal is he gets my parts so his truck is drivable. I'm trying to make sure I send him the right parts the first time.

I had gotten into the 60-66 LCF (Low Cab Forward)trucks some years ago, & accumulated about 5, or 6 of them. I had a '65 L60, which was a 2 ton, a '64 L60H (Heavy Duty 60 series), which in 1964 replaced the L70 series that existed thru 1963, which was rated as a 2 1/2 ton, & two L80 series trucks (a '60, & a '65 model)which were 3 ton trucks according to the info., I had on them. This being said, there were C60, C60H, & C80 trucks. I'm guessing they would have been the same. Hope I didn't confuse you.

So I'm leaning toward sending the 2 ton parts. Looks right from the outside. The Napco is for my 1957 LCF. Love those trucks.

Welcome,hotshoe99! Do you have pic's? Did you do the work yourself? I'm sure that I'm not the only one interested in your truck. Please keep us "posted".

It takes an awful big dog to weigh a ton.
