looking for the best way to run my fuel lines from fuel pump to carb. The easy pathway looks to be from fuel pump up the front of the block behind the alternator across the top of the intake and into the carb. I have a 1977 chevy stepside with a 350. will running the fuel lines that close to the block and the intake cause heat issues for the fuel lines? maybe vapor lock? whats the vote on metal vs rubber fuel lines. I have a 350 with edelbrock proformer intake and edelbrock 4bbl 650 carb, any suggestions on a good fuel filter? Paul

the route you suggest is factory, just make sure to stand the line off slightly so there's no direct contact anywhere - which is easier to maintain with metal than rubber .... the carb should have a fine screen insert in the inlet fitting, but I've always used the cheap see-thru plastic filters just before the carb with no problems

Edelbrock carbs need an inline filter. They make a hard line fitting that that connects to the carb, has a cleanable filter. This fitting ends at the front of the manifold.Go on line to Jegs. They have list and pictures on Edelbrock parts. Please use a minimum of rubber line.

I'm not a big fan of rubber hose.

the dual feed is for the "Thunder"series carb which has two inlets.
The standard Performer carb is single feed.

Dave nice set up. I like the braided line idea fro the pump, less bending and it looks nice
