On my 1947 COE (46 style):

I have a 1960 engine (235) from a pickup that has a 10" clutch disk. The original engine (235) from the COE has a 10 3/4" clutch.

I'm putting in the 1960 engine and am planning on using the clutch that came with it. Will there be any reason that I should try to use the bigger clutch? I'm thinking that if the 10" clutch worked with the engine in a pickup, putting it into a COE with the same engine shouldn't really change anything. Am I right or out in left field?

Will your COE weigh the same as the pickup? If not you may want the larger clutch to prevent slipping...especially if you plan on towing or carrying anything.
