I have a '37 chevy pick-up. Recently acquired. I am trying to install the windlace around the doors. I have the metal strips for attaching over the doors and down the backside of the cab. Another strip of metal will capture the strip from below the dashboard to the floor edge. What attaches the windlace to the cab from the end of the over-the-door strip to the below-the-dashboard strip?

Hi David, Welcome to the best forum on the internet. You have picked a very popular truck to restore.

The windlace attaches to the front of the door at that location. It goes under the window trim and under the door panel. It will run from the top front of the door to the floor where the cab seal attaches.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.

Thank you so much. Did you use a metal strip to secure the windlace to the door? Is the windlace attached to the door all the way down to the floor?

thank you for the info. I purchased a couple of metal strips for attaching the windlace to the cab from the floor to the bottom of the dashpanel. I think the door installation will be better.
