Anybody have a photo to post of the correct hood ornament for a 61 Apache?

6 cyl had large chrome bowtie, V8 had large chrome V with bowtie cast into it. Would have to get my girl to show me how to post photos!

That would have been added on, not factory.

Ditto, there were no factory hood ornaments on the '60-'66 Chevy/GMC trucks. The bowtie & V/botwie on the '60-'61 Chevy trucks and the V6 emblems on the '60-'62 GMC trucks, otherwise, not other other hood ornaments were installed from the factory.

I've been lucky enough to obtain both 55-59 & 60-61 GMC hood ornament - these things are huge!

For clarity's sake, the GMC 59 and 60 and 61 dealer installed Factory hood birds are the same as each other. The 55 to 58 birds have the pointed nose, while the later one has an air intake nose-like an F84 if you know your 50's era jets. (I suppose it could look like a MiG 15 nose too, but I doubt that was what they were going for:))
