I need a picture of the air cleaner set up for the HVAC brake system located behind the seat on 1960-1966 C60's. It should be behind the driver's side seat. Also, dimensions would be good too. I'm not having any luck finding one and it looks like I will have to fabricate one using a filter approx. the same size. Thanks....

Look on you '60, on mine there is a plate that cover a flat spot in the floor panel on the sloped surface towards the door.
Can't say if the plate will be there on your '66 but should see a flat spot where the factory mount hrdro-vac air filter wlouold mount. I beleive Ive got the filter set-up off a '59 C60 that would work . Unless you require the o.e. look you could run the hose to a filter anywhere you want.

Thanks BC59. On mine there is a metal pipe coming thru the floor behind the drivers seat in the location you mentioned. When the truck is running, I can put my finger over the pipe and feel the suction.

I'm not looking for O.E., just something that will work. How much would you be asking for your set-up?

You should only get a brief suction on the breather during brake apply, if it suck with out fluid pressure from master cylinder the Hydro -vac unit has in internal issue.
You could use a cfrankcase breather filter (kind that pops in vaalve cover grommet) from your FLAPs, might be a day or 2 before I located the one I've got rat holed.

Thanks BC59. You know that actually makes sense, and it does suck air when the brake isn't pressed. So it looks like I will need to rebuild the HVAC system as well? I can say one thing, this truck stops on a dime! I figure for now I'll put the filter on and come back to the HVAC system later. I have other things to do on the truck first, LOL.......Please let me know if you want to part with the filter when you find it.

Just to keep thing straight, what you have is a Hydro-vac booster, no to be confused with the later Hydro-boost (booster run by p.s. pump) or HVAC )heating, ventelation & air conditioning).

That is correct, my truck has a Hydro-Vac booster. So, no booster run by p.s. pump, etc. .......Thanks.
