You'll need to take the two screws out of the frame in the middle of the windshield that holds the regulator "tongue" to the frame.
Then with someone holding the windshield up for you there is two screws, on each side, that hold the windshield frame to the top hinges.
Once you get the frame out it may be a booger to get seperated if your frame is two piece like mine. If so there is four screws on each side that go through the fame and screw into a piece of metal "stock" that goes in the middle of the frame. Many times this piece is rusted to the inside of the frame and is hard to get loose....and the screw heads will twist into if not careful.
Patience is the key.

I had to cut the frame with a dremel grinding wheel. I made a slit in the rubber groove. The bars are about 4 inches long and if really rusted in I don't know how else you can do it. I tried heat and it would not budge. I am going to either put stainless or brass bars back in. Also the screws to the top hinges I had to grind the heads off. New frames are available for 400.00. I did have to use a rubber hammer to get mine to come apart but it was not easy....and especially if the frame is worth saving.
Chev's of the 40's sell the little "bars" that go in between the fame halves and also the little stainless clip that hides the joints.
...now, I ended up having to buy a new 37 frame Jan.2011 and JimCarter sells the frame and it comes with the little joining bar. The frame cost $373 Jan.of 2011.
They can also be a booger to get back together. A rubber hammer was my best friend! I used the glass tape and also made good use of some glass sealer. If you don't use some the water will get "in/under" the frame and it will rot from the inside out.
