For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2012 Posts: 20 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Nov 2012 Posts: 20 | Hey folks,
My name is Eric and I just got a 1950 3100. I'm new to these things but not to wrenchin on junk. I just finished a 1973 Toyota land cruiser fj40 about two months ago. I'm more familiar with 4wds but I've always liked these old trucks.
Anyway, I just got my Bolt today and it's pretty cool to say the least. Only one rust hole to deal with and the driver side door made contact with the a pillar and won't shut. It's all original, and I bought from a friend who has owned it since 1971. It's been in his barn/ garage the whole time. Looking forward to learning all about these trucks hands on and from others who know the shortcuts.
Eric
1950 3100 all original for now

You are definitely at the right place. LOTS of good folks and plenty of knowledge here. The AD style pickup is a good one to work with. You can get most parts you need fairly easy, use the swap meet forum, and lot of parts from 47-53 &54 are interchageable. Good luck....post us a pic when you can.
