I currently have a 1955 235 in my 48 Chevy 1/2 ton. It has the original 4 speed with closed driveshaft and original rearend. Is it possible to put a turbo 350 on the inline 6 or should I put in a SBC? what rearend could I put in? I wanna keep the 6 lug chrome steel wheels on it. Im also considering lowering the whole truck a couple inches. Whats the best way? Thanks

As alluded to above, you'll need an adapter plate to bolt your TH350 to the 235. Your best method of lowering the front would be a dropped axle or removing a couple leafs. The easiest way on the back would be removing a couple of leafs as well.

Thanks for the info. Will the trans fit under the floorboard? Its a direct bolt in for the rearend?
