It bench tested ok, but will 12V hurt it over time? Also does anybody have or know where to get that donut looking core? I beleive my the heater was the standard model, not the deluxe. | | |

If you have a speed control for the blower, you already have a rheostat.
That is, is you set the control to 1/2 and have a 12 volt system, the motor will run at approx. the same speed as the control set to full on a 6 volt system.
Somthing to consider, DC motors have a really wide operating range. Although if you run the motor at 12 volts on FULL, check to see how hot your motor is getting. | | |

And occasionally it does get cool here, the 20's in winter at night. I'm from PA so I know all about winter. I need the thing more for defrost. I find the engine heat keeps the cab toasty.....probably won't get much summer day driving down here. | | |
