I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.

we work 40 hrs but have what we call a RDO roster day off workers accrue 4 hours a week and add these days to a long weekend like easter austalia day or labour weekend so we end up with 4 days off mainly in construction industry to give us more leisure time to enjoy chevvys works good we end up with alot of long weekends

People on this side of the pond don't know what a Stovebolt is either. Always explaining it.
I like the sound of your roster day off, wish we had that here in Canada.
Where is Hunter Valley in relation to Sydney? I was in Oz back about 30 years ago. Travelled the country in a fried out Kombi. Never made it west but saw half the country. Loved it.

I would have gone through your area, I remember Newcastle and Port Stephens. Think that was the first place my Kombi broke down.
Don't remember any chevys. Only american car I remember was a '67 Convertible Mustang in Sydney. Too many Tooeys maybe.
Beautiful beaches for sure.
