If you look with in the Hurst website you could find a shifter lever that will bolt on the shifter. Ebay has been pretty good for me to find a few things I either am looking for or to see the different variants of items. I purchased a Hurst shifter off of Ebay. Shifter . With the help of an good friend, we made the old shifter lever attach to the shifter. Mock up mock up 2 hole drilled finnished shifter and lever shifter box, shifter lever w/knob What ever you decide to go with, there are several shifter to choose from, you will just need to put in the time to look to see what will work for you. By the way, NICE truck. It made me miss my old 65 fleet side. Bread, you pictures show the shifter I am using, Its the dang lever is too short on the t5 tranny. I need a longer lever, bent slightly closer to me. I saw one that wasn't for sale that looked right but Hurst doesn't show any at all on their web sight. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2009 Posts: 269 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2009 Posts: 269 | Gazim, Here is a link to Ebay S10 Hurst shifter . The shifter lever might work for you. Since you have a T5, you can use the regular S-10 shifter core and mod it and attach a longer lever. In the Tech Tips, Short Shifter for a T-5 Tranny , Mr Sandoval showed how to shorten the throw with the S10 shifter and bent the lever to be more strait upward. I like Joe's 37 pickup. Not just does he have a nice ride but he has the fifth gear. The shifter lever Mr Shorty showed me how to make, was quite easy. If you have the shop or the use of a shop, it took no longer then an hour to cut, weld, drill, and clean up. Just some additional ideas to help. Bread

It's a six inch vise well mounted, some copper if you like your chrome, and a big box end wrench. I use a 1 inch box end wrench that gives me enough leverage that the knob goes where I want. If it a flat shifter I've used a one inch pipe clamp with success. It's amazing what you can do with 3 feet of pipe for leverage. Big hammer not needed. Larry
