When the new 235 gets installed in my 37 I am thinking on another type of a exhaust system instead of the duals it has now,I am thinking about running the dual pipes in a dual inlet and single outlet muffler and having a single but larger then original exhaust pipe. Anybody done this and how did it run, since it has a 235 that looks like a 216 the dual pipes gives it away its not stock so just thinking.

Mine is similar but not the same. It has two/into-one/two-out and it runs fine. I'd advise keeping the muffler larger than stock and using the next size larger pipes in/out.

I have two in/two out 2/1/4' cars and the sound is good, the performance is fine and my neighbors aren't complaining like they used to about the six exhaust noise. The one (261) sure did get them going with a pair of 26" glass packs.
