I have some play (up & down) on the drivers axle. How do I remove axle to inspect?

Pull the pumkin cover and remove the clip. Remove wheel and brake assembly. Pull axle out. Do you have a manual? Go to Gregsonline.com to get one.

No I don't. I'll check out the site. Thanks for the advice. I thought there was a clip to pull but wasn't sure about the brake assembly and what had to come off. Does that include taking off backing plate? Or just shoes etc and brake line? I'll get the manual and find out.

Just the wheel & drum need to be removed.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

Pull wheels. Remove brake drum. Pull pumpkin cover off. Remove pinion shaft lock screw and pinion shaft. Push axles in towards each other. Remove clips. Pull axle shafts out.
