Picked the truck up in Minneapolis and then made the 13/14 hour trip back to Cincinnati, OH. Current plans are to use it as a weekend driver and then put some money into it every winter to get it fully restored. Already started working on the brakes (front wheel cylinder busted), hoping to have it on the road in the next month or so. Pictures below. My dad took the first one, he was more interested in his truck than mine. http://s1172.photobucket.com/albums/r568/nebuhr/48%20Chevy/-Nick | | | | | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 4,215 Moderator | | Moderator Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 4,215 | Welcome Nick, looks like a nice truck. Always good to start with the brakes. Just take your time with it, I also worked at mine every winter, took 5 winters. Good luck.

One day I'm going to have me one of those. Lots of great folks here willing to share a ton (no pun intended) of information. After all, knowledge is the best resource! See you around the garage. Let us know how we can help. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2012 Posts: 842 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2012 Posts: 842 | welcome from australia there will be more photos taken of your truck than your dads when you get it on the road they all love an old chevvy

I've got a 3/4 ton in my shop with the frame blasted and painted. When I get time I'll start on the brakes and go from there. Lots to do on it. Just about done with my 1/2 ton 49.
