I cannot seem to figure out what bolts are still holding my seat frame to the seat base. I have a 1950 AD truck and I am trying to remove the seat/frame completely out for painting. There are two 1/2" nuts at the rear of each runner on the vertical panel of the seat base,have you removed these?
Also be careful when you finally remove the seat it's awkward and pretty heavy.

| | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 3,596 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 3,596 | The frame is held on the sliders with 4 bolts that stick out the top of the sliders themselves. They are in the recesses on each corner of the frame. These are studs not bolts, so you need to clean them and use PB Blaster or similar on the threads. They are easy to break if you don't. Since you have a 1950 the seat frame is also held on the sliders with small bolts and a clamp on each side for the cables that runs through the back of the frame. These are 1/2 way down the frame on each side. I managed to get the frame out last night, I remove every bolt I could see but things where a bit rusty so it did not come out easy.
