I am getting ready to put a floor shifter in my 54 3100. I've heard great things about the Lokar but, have two worries. 1-Any clearance issues with a turbo 350 tranny to floor? 2- What height looks closest to a stock manual stick?

Send a PM to RAR. He just bought one.

Here's the link to the thread he posted in June 2012.

got one in my 52,it's not the th350,but it's the same with most trannys, the clearence issue depends on how close the modified setup of the drive line comes to the floorpan. i beleive mine is a 30" shifter. look quik and it can be mistaken for a manual shifter.

I traded for the shifter in my 37 but believe it is in fact a Lockar. Its been working fine now for about 12 years. Not a problem. I think my stick is a little to "high" but it looks good and MANY folks think its a straight drive..... until the smart ones look at the pedals and then they say Ohhhhhhh......

Thanks guys. I think that I'll go ahead and order one but, it'll have to wait for a few other projects to be finished before I try to install it. I appreciate your input and treasure your experience. i will make a point of coming back to this thread and posting the results!
