Stereo worked great but started having problem with the display on the remote not coming back on after 1o to 15 minutes of play(real problem as display is only indicator of where you are control wise). The people at Custom Autosound were not sure of problem as unit was new. They finally decided that the RF remote and antenna (for the remote) had a software problem on some units and were waiting for the spare parts to arrive. Well it took a month but was able to have units shipped last Thurs and came from Calif. on Monday (to Michigan). I have installed the antenna and the new matched remote works great so far (3 long rides). I am back to happy camper again. This is for info if anyone has this unit and a simular problem. They had many ideas but not sure, but they think this is the cure. No help other than pack it up and send it back. Long story I don't use my remote. | | | | Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 97 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 97 | Brad - If you have the new wireless remote, your problem is close to mine. I just talked to a Guy in Traverse City, Mi. and his problem is the same as mine. The "Ship it back" sounds like the response I got from their technical person ( a man who is hard to understand). I then called Custom Autosound AGAIN and talk to Trisha. She seemed to be more aware and pleasant to talk to. She sent me a new remote and a new antenna (RF for remote). Takes 5 min to install and my problem seems to have gone away. If you call them back, tell them you seen my response to this problem here on the Stovebolt Forum. I will contact her as I love the set-up but the remote has been a bust since day one. | | | | Joined: Mar 2001 Posts: 629 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2001 Posts: 629 | I just need to share what I use in my '46. Like many people do now adays, i use an iPhone and have most of my music an the ability to listen to my favorite radio stations. I purchased a Bose wireless Bluetooth rechargeable speaker that just so happens to fit perfectly in my glovebox! It sounds as good as or better than most built in systems and the best is, when it is not in the truck, it is sitting on my tool box in the garage!

It has been many weeks now since the remote and antenna have been replaced and my stereo has run great - no Problems! Tom | | |
