The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Paint and Body Shop replacement corners for cab

1950 3600 has rotted out the rear corners of the cab. Does anyone know where i can find a replacement set to weld in. Also, how hard is it to remove the bed. i will need to remove it to make some of the welds.

Almost all the reproduction parts vendors sell replacement panels for the cab owners.

I think there are 8 bed bolts that have to be removed.

Here are a few pictures (follow the links) on how I did mine. The clamps made it easy I bought them at HF for $8, I see them advertised for as much as $30 so go there they work fine.

I welded mine in also. But I have heard good feedback on those that have"glued" theirs in. Theoretically at least as strong as a weld without the warping issues.

using glue instead of welding to attach 2 metal parts?

Thanks Guys. This is a little down the road for me, but its good to know it shouldn't be an issue locatig replacements. I wasn't looking forward to trying to manufacture that bend myself.

I wouldn't use it for cab corners but it is structuraly valid.
