lmc sells replacement rads for a 63. i have had good luck with the v8 rad even though i have all 6's. they have a gal or so more capacity i think and it makes a difference on cooling! i have got used rads but it seems like i usually have to chase leaks or they don't hold good pressure.

I had to replace my radiator in my 66 last year. I initially ordered a radiator from my local Autozone because of the price ($215.00), then after waiting 2 weeks and not recieving a shipping confirmation I was told it would be another 4 weeks before my radiator would be built! I cancelled the order promptly.
I purchased a radiator from LMC and have been very pleased.
I have the 250 6 cylinder with manual tranny. The price was $289.00, the fit and finish was perfect. Good luck

Take the old radiator to a good radiator shop that can take the tanks off the core, reuse them, and put in a new core.

We ended up re-coring our radiator- It was around 230 bucks- right about at the cost of a new one- you might finad a shop out there to do it for less (or more) I liked that I was able to keep the same unit with the truck:

Thanks all. Yeah I had this one re-cored years back. That shop that did the re-core does not exist anymore.(btw, Im in North San Diego county.) --- Now , its about the fins... theyre a lot dicintegrated on the outward face---- however, the fins are really still good and intact on the fan side/ inside. Is this a major factor in qualifying as a re-core candidate?? Also, I saw on a Hotrod show re-coring can be done at home! is anyone familiar with it??? because Im having even more trouble finding that episode online.thanks

Right now the cost of re coring is expensive because of the cost of copper, probably over $300 to do your radiator. I just installed a aluminum racing radiator from Speedway, radiator was $129, I had to make some simple brackets but it worked great. We make a fan shroud for it also, cruised Back To The 50s and stayed at 180 degrees.
