My wife & I bought this 41 Carryall in Denver in 1999.This is pretty much how it looked then.The old repaint was faded & full of chips,Just a driver with a wornout SBC,AOD & late rear end.A few years earlier we had sold our 46 Carryall & allways regreted it.I knew I'd get another one some day but it took forever before we found this one.I hated the green paint but it kinda grew on us & hey !...whatayouknow..now "patina" is in! Updates over the years include a new crate 350/330 hp,rebuilt 700R4 trans vintage AC,leather power seats,PW,tilt column,Lecara wheel.new rims,ties & caps. It already had a mustang front end,PDB & PS.With the OD trans & a 3:08 rear its very easy to drive.This turned out to be important as I can no longer drive so my wife Pat drives & she loves It!Thanks to our friend Mike who has handled all the updates for us it's been a easy,dependable truck for Pat.We had the doors lettered with the name of our Art & Antique shop,chromed the original grill & bumpers & Pat drives it to the shop every day.Of course it hauls all the stuff for the shop as well as my scooter.Hope you enjoy the photos ( if I can figure out how to send them).Our current project is a 55 Chev Carryall (we thought) that turned out to be a 57 GMC Carryall.More on that later.
