Those are not 47-55 1/2 ton panel front bumper brackets.

It's hard to determine if the bumper itself is original, with extra holes for the odd brackets.

Josh, let me try to get this straight. The same bumper works on the front and rear of my 52 panel..... and IF I remember right its the same bumper as the FRONT of a 1/2 ton pickup. I'm sure some one else will confirm this..... or tell me where I'm wrong!

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

Brackets are totally different, bumper looks different too, ends are curved too much.

Yep, that bumper is the wrong shape for a '53 Chevy.

I can confirm that the panel truck takes a FRONT bumper on both ends...

Ask me how I know this!

Also, can confirm that your brackets are not for your truck.

I also agree it's not the correct bumper and brackets.

What are your plans for the panel truck ?
