Thinking about adding dual intake and dual Fentons for next season.

But what carbs should I use ?
Is there any tested setup for a 2 ton with 261 ?

I had great success with both Rochester B, and Carter W-1s. That was on a 216, right now, I'm gearing up to put two W-1s on my 235, with a vintage Edmunds intake.

As long as the carbs are matched, you should have no troubles. Just take your time when tuning and syncing them, the directions in the California Bill book are great.

Hey,Lastchance! I JUST installed my Fentons and dual stacks on my '55 2nd Series 6500. You'll also NEED the heat kit,to replace the heat-riser in the stock manifold. I have a 261,too. I'm using my stock intake, and single Carter. The truck RUNS GREAT! Better performance and a little better gas mileage! Oh,and the BEST part,is the way she sounds! I am VERY PLEASED with my set-up. I'm not planning on up-grading to dual carbs on my truck. Hope this helps.

Hi, thanks for the info.
I had a Chevy Styleline 1950 before. With a 235 and pg.
I did that conversion, dual Fentons and heat riser kit. Worked really fine.

the thing I am most confused about is carbs. Carter you said, which one do you use ?
