After a year in my shop, it is is running and driving well. Can someone tell me how the dump system works on this thing? One big lever in the floor aft of the shifter. PTO or elec-hyd?

It shouldnt be electric unless someone has put a more modern dump hoist on the truck.
Chances are it is a PTO driven hoist which runs off the transmission. If it is there should be a knob on the dash or another lever which operates the PTO, the big lever in the floor is what makes it go up & down.
All with the transmission in neutral of course.

Any Idea what kind of oil goes in the lift system?
| | | | | Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 2,987 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 2,987 | I think basically any type of hydraulic fluid should work. If you have to raise the bed to add it, be SURE to block it securely so it don't come down on you and turn your wife into a widow!
