Please tell me if i'm wrong but i think this is a 54-55 engine correct?

not a two bolt valve cover and it does have the high water pump.

Most likely you are correct. The block and head casting codes and the engine serial number would be the best ID.

It might be a 53 with later head. Or a later engine with a water pump relocation plate. Both of these possibilities are unlikely.

As I recall, that is a 1954/55 truck with some modifications related to a transplanted radiator.

It is according to grill but the registration has an lea number on it. I'm told that means a 53 engine...

Haven't been able to get to truck to confirm numbers myself yet...

2 kids and not keeping it on my property mean i've had all of 15 minutes with it since i bought it.... sigh.
