The block and head casting codes and the engine serial number would be the best ID.
It might be a 53 with later head. Or a later engine with a water pump relocation plate. Both of these possibilities are unlikely.
As I recall, that is a 1954/55 truck with some modifications related to a transplanted radiator.

Haven't been able to get to truck to confirm numbers myself yet...
