A guy locally has a 1927 1.5 ton express truck for sale. Doesn't specify the condition but the vague pictures indicate it is mostly there and solid. Engine looks to be missing parts. The guy says it would make a great summer project.

Anyway I don't know much about the early trucks and have no idea what a fixer upper should cost. I think he is quite high. It looks much like "Lurch" in the Gallery but with an open express cab. Give me a thought on price but more on where to find good information on this era.

I'm certainly not up to parr on the old old stuff but I'm considering a 29 at the moment.

Perhaps it would be worth it to check out some of the 27's in the gallery and maybe send a couple of the guys a note to see what they have to say. It may take a little time but I'm sure there are some folks who can help you along the way.

Not sure about value. Its ALL about condition condition condition.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

Not sure of prices, and they vary around the country, ALOT! But, I do know engine parts are very hard to find for 20s vintage trucks, and can be expensive. So if you are thinking restoration, I would be cautious. If you are thinking rod, or modernize with a 4.3, or straight six, then the condition of frame and sheet metal is first concern. Could be a neat resto-rod. Best of luck!
