Wow Billy, that's a nice truck for the Hambone. But, it won't fit into John and Peggy's two stall shop-garage. Are John and Peggy willing to rebuild the garage so that big boy will fit in there for it's rehab?

Really? Hambone has made the right moves and is actually restoring a truck that will go more than 45 mph. Marlow, your trouble and these oversized non-moving 3 ton hulks need to stay out of Hambone's view. The half ton club is growing and before long Marlow you will be the only one having to use two vehicles to get a truck out to a show. Roache where are you? Well, it's only been a couple of weeks since the last episode of Pierce jealously was shamelessly splayed on these pages. I think all those books are starting to warp that bean on top of your shoulders. What is it that Daniel Steel is saying to you anyway????
Oh, and for you speed demons out there, 45 mph (it's really only about 43) is fine with me. After all, you don't have to go fast to look cool! Pierce, you need to slow down and smell the roses.
And just so you don't loose too much sleep over how I prefer to travel, there is a pick-up in my future. It just won't be a candy a$$ 1/2 ton( I apologize for offending any half ton owners out there, except Pierce of course. I really don't have anything against these trucks, in fact I think they are cool, just don't tell Jr. So for the sake of this thread and Mr. Pierce, candy a$$ I say.)

Well brothers let it be known that this afternoon I took my "candya$$" 1/2 ton out on the interstate and let it go. Once I hit 85 I backed it down. I was worried the speedo was going to get stuck.

Half tons unite! Ok, so just because we can do the speed limit and can park at the shopping mall with ease does not justify the "candya$$" designation. Heck, these big trucks that get hauled on trailers, pampered with the best spots at the shows and the engines never fully broken in well that sounds like a candya$$ if I ever heard of one. Besides, I have yet to see one of these big beasts with a rock chip in the front end from driving....

Sweet, what are talking about? Have you been reading Jr's novels? I think that stuff is messing with ya'lls heads . You've been to my house, you know that if it doesn't have a mane, a tail and four hooves, she ain't interested. She is a good helper with MY big diesel project though.

Dempsey was driven home from Johns the other day and successfully killed a bug. And I have many pictures of him hauling a full bed of straw bales off the farm. Candyass indeed, do that with a half ton. HAH!!!

May remind you that Brother Marlow's truck has its 's original drive train and no original 1/2 ton from the era went 85 mph!!!!!. Billy you should be happy that you can go 43 mph, I am cruising at 35 mph with a tailwind with 1 1/2 ton. Worst event that happened to my truck was a broken valve spring, limped home and was running down the road the same day. Oh yeah, broke a fan belt once. Tow trucks are to pick up those other brands.

I belive Brother Milliman has labeled our esteemed President a "boy" or worse yet a "homo" for having a 1/2 ton. Where is the SAA when you need one. Oh thats right, he is driving his 1/2 ton at 85 mph..............

Man, my stomach is burning from laughing so hard........

When I got up this morning there was this smell. At first I figured the Rocket had dropped his normal morning payload but I was wrong. As I approached my home office the smell got worse.

Turns out its this page from all the BS being flung around by my fellow brothers.

As the SAA of this great ODSS it is my duty to return the society to order when things get out of align. Since the $hit is getting pretty deep pretty fast here, I shal hold a quick, trial by fire for each that have stepped out of line. But first, my opening comment.

FACT:

The Presidential Motorcade is required to consist of 1/2 ton trucks. This purpose is for swift and speedy escapes when the President is in imminent danger. Further, The President is a very busy and important man, he does not have the time or the patience to travel at 43mph! Also The President also likes to ride in comfort! So traveling with Mr. Milliman in Heavy D would not fulfil this requirement.

Now, to deal with my out-of-line brothers:

Brother Gott:
Original drivelines could go 80-85, its just too darn loud! You will be let off the hook with a warning....

Brother Roache:
Hauling Hay CAN be done in a 1/2 ton! Further, when have you seen a 1/2 ton broken down? Also, how many distributors have I put in your truck? Seems like these "Big Boys" rely heavily of the 1/2 tonners to shuttle parts and mechanics to where they are needed. Sentence; 20 pushups and go open Dempsey's hood and wax the valve cover.

Brother Marlow:
You started this whole mess, I hold you responsible for getting all these brothers fired up! Sentence; You need to rotate your lugnuts, 45 pushups and your sir shall not wash your truck for 2 weeks!!

Brother Milliman:
Referring to the President and the SAA as a "homo" is a felony offense! You sir owe Mr. President 100 pushups. Further, the next time the Presidential Motorcade graces Stovebolt HQ we shall be parked in the best parking spaces available and yes, you will be reffered to as Shirley.....

Bottom line men, as Brother Milliman has been quoted "None of us are as strong as all of us" We need the 1/2 ton bullets along with the big boy slugs to have fun and get the job done. Each truck has a duty and a purpose. For that, I am glad to call each of you brother....

Mr President, have you anything to add???

Wise as ever, Brother Sweet. I have completed my sentence. I even threw in 25 side straddle hops just for good measure.

Heck, I was even going to call Brother Gott a "Weasel Turd" for selling me out, but I won't do that now that I've benefitted from your sage council (even if he is one).

While I will admit our ODSS Librarian Brother Pierce and his old man do start a lot of crap both here and in life in general. I have taken the time to review the third post out of respect of the brotherhood. However, in conclusion your objection is

OVERRULED!

Now that you girls have all this settled. Sweet - What is the purpose of my truck exactly? I hear what you are saying, but for 2 years now it seems the purpose of my truck has been only to make Junior look like he is making progress.
Billy thanks for finding my new hood. Appears to be attached to a 12 ft flat bed 66 something-or-other. If only I had a place to drag that beast and store it for the next decade. The hood looks clean.
